Planning
Through Community Renewal, participants undertake planning to identify the top priorities for action in each zone. Input from residents, government, business and community helps to identify community priorities, desired outcomes and solutions that best fit the community’s needs.
A Renewal Zone Plan documents these priorities, outcomes and proposed solutions, and acts as a blueprint to guide Community Renewal activities in each zone. The plans also identify how each solution will be funded and the agencies responsible for funding and delivering them.
Throughout the life of the program there will be opportunities for interested parties to put forward ideas and opinions to ensure the program stays flexible and able to respond to emerging community issues.
Community members can participate in the planning process by contacting their local Community Renewal office.
