Partnerships
Community Renewal is delivered in partnership between the Queensland Government, local governments, non-government organisations, businesses and residents of renewal areas. Through these partnerships, Community Renewal ensures that:
- people who live and work in communities have a say in shaping the future of their community;
- government planning and resources are coordinated; and
- new ideas can be trialled and, if successful, sustained.
Queensland Government
The Department of Housing's Community Renewal program works closely with Queensland Government departments that have a key concern for community well-being and community infrastructure.
Local government
Each local government with a renewal area within its boundaries works closely with the Department of Housing to implement Community Renewal initiatives.
Non-government
Community Renewal partners with non-government and community organisations in the delivery of renewal initiatives.
Communities
Residents, local groups and businesses play an important role in identifying issues and developing solutions for their community.
