Welcome to the website of Community Renewal, a unique whole-of-Government program coordinated by the Department of Housing which works closely with residents in selected Queensland neighbourhoods to improve people's quality of life.
The department, through Community Renewal, helps residents in targeted areas to identify the most important priorities for their community and the best ways to achieve them. The program works with communities, local councils and government departments – including those involved in health, communities, education, police, employment and training – to deliver meaningful and lasting responses to local issues. The coordinated involvement of residents and many government and non-government agencies is pivotal to successfully achieving community priorities.
I encourage all levels of government to get involved in Community Renewal. On this website, you can find out more about Community Renewal’s partners and how they are working together to improve people’s quality of life.
